The Gilded Age: A Tale of Yesterday

VALENCIA HOTEL
Located at 276 St. George Street the Valencia Hotel was known for being a family hotel. Unlike the resorts of Henry Flagler and Franklin Smith the Valencia provided families with a quiet vacation getaway with views of the ocean. The Valencia was built by well-known builders, McDonald & McGuire, the same men who had built Kirkside, the Union Depot and most of Flagler's hotels.
The location once occupied by the Valencia now serves as a parking lot for the St. Francis Inn.
