PONTE VEDRA INN & CLUB

The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club has come a long way since its modest beginning. The land which he building now lies on first gained notice in 1912, when valuable minerals were found in the dunes. Soon after, a mining town arose. In the 1920s the mining town became the focus of new development and soon evolved into a quiet beach village. The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club was built in 1928 and attracted many upper class, elite members of society ranging from Wall Street brokers to socialites, the club attracted a new generation of Gilded Age travelers, the children who grew up during the Gilded Age.
