JAMES E. INGRAHAM HOUSE

Built in 1894, the James E. Ingraham house was home to the close friend, and employee of Henry Flagler, James Ingraham and his family.

Ingraham had worked as a clerk for Henry Sanford, eventually becoming secretary and treasurer of the Sanford Telegraph Company. He worked for a time as president of the South Florida Railroad until 1892 when it was bought out by Henry Plant. Ingraham joined Flagler's Florida East Coast Railroad in the 1890s serving as land commissioner from 1897 to 1899. Ingraham served as Vice-President from 1897-1903.



Today the James E. Ingraham House is used as office space for Memorial Presbyterian Church. The house is located at 32 Sevilla Street.
