HAMBLEN'S

The C.F. Hamblen Hardware Company store was a general store in St. Augustine and was established in 1875. Hamblen's quickly gained bragging rights for not only being the largest store in St. Augustine, and the third largest store in the state of Florida, but also for its role as supplier to none other than Henry Flagler. The store had a number of locations during its time in St. Augustine, but officially closed down in 1948 with many of its original items remaining unsold.

Soon after, the store was reopened as a tourist attraction, presenting not only the authentic items left over after its closing, but many other revolutionary items dating back to the turn of the century. The last remaining location of the original Hamblen's store is located on Arillery Lane and has since been renamed Artillery Lofts.
