EVERGREEN CEMETERY

Evergreen Cemetery is located across Ponce de Leon Blvd in what is known today as West King Street. The cemetery opened in 1886 as a result of cemetery closing in the smaller, urban cemeteries located downtown.

Evergreen became one of the largest Protestant cemeteries and holds the graves of some well-known southerners and St. Augustine residents. Among those interned within Evergreen are Civil War soldiers and generals, Andrew Anderson and his wife Mary, among others.

Evergreen Cemetery is located on North Rodriguez Street, off West King in St. Augustine, FL.
