The Gilded Age: A Tale of Yesterday
Saint Augustine, Florida in the age of gold.
CASA AMARYLLA
Originally built to house the Ponce de Leon Hotel's primary physician in 1898, Casa Amarylla current serves the students of Flagler College as Wiley Hall. Appropriately named after Ms. Molly Wiley, a relative of Henry Flagler's through his third wife, Mary Lily Kenan; Wiley was among the most dedicated contributors to the college. Long gone are the days of house calls and ailments; Casa Amarylla, or "Yellow House", has been used as a residence and the Flagler College admissions building, it currenly houses several new classrooms and the office of the registrar. Casa Amarylla is located on Valencia Street across from Flagler College.
